1 Corinthians an Introduction
Our exciting journey through 1 Corinthians begins as we briefly overview this book. As we begin our journey join me in asking God to reveal the deep and practical truths concerning our faith and His church. Ask Him to give you a teachable spirit, so that you will apply the truth uncovered. May our lives and His church be enriched because we are increasingly obedient to His word and the direction of His Spirit!
Quick Facts:
1 Corinthians was INSPIRED by God and WRITTEN by the Apostle Paul.
In addition to writing 13 books of the New Testament under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Paul was the very first CHURCH-PLANTER.
Paul founded the church at Corinth on his SECOND missionary journey (see Acts 16:11- 18:1)
1 Corinthians was written in 55 AD and was not actually the FIRST or ONLY letter Paul wrote to the church at Corinth.
1 Cor. 5:9
When I wrote to you before, I told you not to associate with people who indulge in sexual sin.
